100DaysOfWebGPU
Interesting idea for building a 'getting started' community for WebGPU.
It's always difficult to push yourself, and there never seems like enough time - so the '100 days' approach seems like a fun way to manage your time and learning goals.
Hence, the birth and inspiration behind
100daysofwebgpu.xbdev.net.
Welcome to 100 Days of WebGPU'ing
Building your plan! Without a plan, is like jumping out of an Airplane without a Parachut - it may be fun for a while, but you're going to hit that ground!
Some ideas:
* How many hours per week? (don't go crazy, be realistic, maybe just 1-2 hours?..)
* Weekly goals? (also called 'objectives' - so you can aim for something - these could come later - but could be as simple as, draw a triangle, draw 2 triangles, animated a basic 2d shape, create a camera....). you'd update these as you go along....
* List some cool projects you'd like to achieve (vision or a dream) - could be as big as a compled 3d game or a tantalizing animated story, ..
* A blog, github site or social media website you can 'log' your progress (helps you reflect and explain - not to mention, the support from friends and the webgpu community - always great when someone starts out and wants to learn something new and cool. Sure there will be lots of friends and people to support you)
* Find some useful resources (websites, official documentation, other blogs, books, articles, ...) - food for inspiration and material to help you on your journey
* Volunteer for games/projects/events, like hackathons - but use 'webgpu' for the visual resource (encourage you to apply/push your knowledge)
* Participate in forums - help others (initially you'll probably be asking questions but over time you'll know more than you realize and can share/help others on their journey)
* ...
